Wow, that is going to be one tough problem for Sid and Liz to solve....

I sense bad things on the way for tentacle head and porky. I think that it comes down to this

1x Level 10 deamon Sorceror (just old enough to get in trouble with everyone ells but survive on his own)
1x Level 7 deamon barbarian (looks like he like beating things and eating chicken)

VERSES

1x Level 11 bard (great drawings, not sure of combat potential) plus her lever ?? familiar that apparently likes to eat deamon stuff
1x Level 15 barbarian (Cid is just that awesome)

All I'm am saying is that it would be bad to count the non deamons out. They may have powers and allies that we are just not aware of.

Great commic

Cid is not a Barbarian, he's obviously a Pirate/Luchadore crossclass.

Sid is a Fighter/Rogue, with the Corsair Prestige Class.

Well, Liz went ahead and shot down all of my theories.

Every. Single. One.

As for fighting, tentacle-head has some severe hubris going. I predict Liz is going to beat him "accidentally", in a way his inflated ego won't allow him to see until its too late (I'm thinking a riddle challenge or bluff). I don't think Liz will defeat him intentionally (she won't know how), but she'll get the upper hand simply because he won't be prepared for an opponent who's so simple and unconventional.

The oinker will probably recognize discretion is the better part of valor, and retreat when his partner gets beaten. He doesn't seem like a take charge villain, more of a follower, and not all that interested in following either.

Sid's physical prowess isn't likely to be too useful here. These 2 seem to know the direct confrontation schtick, and aren't all that interested in playing fair. They'll also be unlikely to wear kid gloves, since Inix is only still alive because they need her to get back in their club.

I just hope it involves an epic battle, this is the first time magic has been a centerpiece in the comic IIRC.

Did anyone else catch what goatboy said, "Soon as we deliver her to the council, they'll have no choice. No one ever brought in AN Elder back B'For, We'll be LEGENDS."

Meaning there's more than one Elder out there.

See http://www.brokenplotdevice.com/2008/06/30/a-mystical-guardian/ for more info about the Elders.

At any rate, I correct what I said on the thread of the previous comic. Inix is in over her head here. But I think that Sid and Liz may be able to do something, perhaps steal Inix away so she can wake up. But yeah, I'm with LG2 here. It's nice to finally see a storyline about the more supernatural side of BPD. I'd laugh if Zig had any part in it.

Huh.

So it's not an ebil corporation?

It's actually a demonic sandwich shop???

...

...

Cool.

So...yeah, this is going to be a blow to Inix's self-esteem, isn't it? She didn't know that a pair of demons had infested the neighborhood until their evil works show up in her very home, and when she tries to confront them, she's taken out by a simple door trap? And if they're dealt with by a pair of mere mortals (plus a guardian familiar)...

Tsk. Very Happy

But what about the guy at the front counter? If he's another demon, Liz and Sid have an enemy behind them... (If he was the taller demon in disguise, how'd he miss that the door didn't get Liz and Sid?)
