Re: Eve Online
First rule of Fleet Command: It's always YOUR decision that dictates the Fleet's future.
Keyou-bi, it was not YOUR fault that the fleet got jumped, the blame falls completely on the Fleet Commander for ordering in the fleet to try and rescue you. I apologise for this, but if I was a Fleet Commander in that situation, I would have not risked the fleet for a single ship. I would have apologised for not coming, but in the way of Fleets, the Fleet comes first, not the individual. Even for a friend.

Re: Eve Online
Yah, we had a breif conversation before he dropped the fleet on me, he said he could not risk the fleet to save me, and I said good don't save me from my or stupidity. Then he asked me to start calling pimaries and i knew he had made a mistake. Then he fliped out on me and acused me of getting the fleet lost. I fired back with "I told you to let me die and you came in, you made the call, it was your fleet!" and his responce was something like "I'm not going to let people just die".
I might have saved my pod if he had not come in, but the sad part was that as soon as the fleet started showing up the enemy fleet put up about 10 warp disruption bubbles and I could not get away.

Considering we had gone 2 months and are involved with 3 major campaigns. This was the first outright loss we have sustained. It was inevitable.

Its okay Black, just wanted to make sure you were okay and all. Seems you left the EVE Fur channel. Same with Nilo =/
Yah I love that review. And even after watching it and agreeing with everything he has to say, I still love the game.
BTW my connection is magically better.

Re: Eve Online
It's the almost constant Yiffing and discussion of things that would be far better in a private convo that killed it for me.
But on another topic, I found that for missioning, perhaps the best Battleship is actually the Armageddon. Mine is capable of engagement of around 70 km (I plan to increase that with a rig shortly) and is capable of downing a rat moa fairly quickly and can generally deal with most missions quite quickly, then salvage the wrecks.
Compared to a Raven, which is considered one of the best mission ships in the game thus far. If I don't get the choice of distance to warp to, I suffer.
Currently debating which races battleships to test this out on next, Gal or Min.

Re: Eve Online
And yet again my employer for harvesting fuel seems to have forgoten that she hired me for a job....
2 weeks worth of Ice waiting for pickup (one with 2 days left) and 2 days away from a third....
Frustrating is hardly the word for it, I'm not sure how others run contracts like this but I bust my hump 4 hours a day to complete said contract, I even stopped training skills so I could focus on getting said contract done.
Makes me wonder if its worth keeping it going.

Re: Eve Online
the Abbadon will possibly be the next battleship I buy. I'm tempted with both the Typhoon and the Maelstorm so we'll see.
Though at the moment, I'm skilling so I can tear around in my Harpy that I've had for almost a year now....
As I beielve I mentioned before, Lasers are so great at maximising profit and fun to watch it's scary

Yes, and the huge tank bonus and laser damage bonus means that you are pooring out huge DPS and tanking like no tomorrow. That being said she can be a bit cap unstable.

Re: Eve Online
Given that my Ice business has fallen through I'm back to making ISK the old fashioned way.
(Mission Running & Bountys, Ore Refining and such) So getting the 200 million together for the Abbadon is likly to take a while, but be oh so worth it.
By the end of this week I'll also have ME:60 for Large thorium & Iridium shells and have started work on cruise/torpedos so I may be willing to make some munitions for those who need 'em
