I found this video particularly disturbing.

For a person like me this at first sounded like good news. Rental prices are plummeting, as are housing prices, and I'll be moving out in the next few years. It's a great time to be in the market for a house or a rental. The problem is though what happens when you buy that house? What happens to all the people that own property now? Most of the people who own property are the middle class so they're pretty much destroyed now. Even some of the lower class is getting eroded away due to the housing market. Due to the insanely low rental costs in the near future most of us are going to be renting houses owned by the banks. Not only do banks make terrible landlords, but thanks to the bailouts the banks are now controlled by the government. Basically we'll all be living in government owned housing, glorified projects. The biggest problem with this occurs when the government takes control of even more properties in the next bubble collapse. Like the guy in the video was saying, they'd likely appoint a real estate czar of some type to handle the situation. This is a very peculiar situation because we'll be living on government property, and that makes for a lot of confusion with the law. In the short term I think the next 5 years or so will be great for anyone renting or buying for the first time, but I think very quickly the whole thing will turn on us.
tl;dr version: The government, through the banks, is taking control of all the foreclosed housing in America.

Now the dollar is falling so much the stock market is actually rising. This is a precursor to runaway inflation. Although I don't think we'll get to that point of madness, with the beginning of the stimulus inflation just taking effect it's entirely possible.
Over the next 14-16 years the dollar's value will be cut in half due to conscious policy. The theory is that if they cut the dollar enough, they'll be able to pay off the debt which is in dollars at a fraction of it's actual cost, then try to rebuild the dollar. The problem is that this will cause a power shift as America shrugs off the weight of being a financial superpower and the most likely candidate to pick up the mantle is the IMF, essentially giving us a global monetary system.

Actually the best thing you can do is, believe it or not, go into debt. The dollar is going to devalue at a rate of 4% per year, and that to me is a low ball estimate. If you took out the loan at 10% interest, you'd actually only be paying 6%. The downside is if you invested in something that pays you 10% interest, you'd actually only be making 6%. Combine this with things like record low real estate prices, a good credit rating, a decent down payment and a fixed rate mortgage and you could realistically buy a house with no interest. If you don't have wads of cash or a good rating you can still get a steal with less than 2% interest on a 30 year loan. I would not recommend buying precious metals with credit unless you get interest rates under 4%, but if you have a job and the means to temporarily sustain the loan then now is a great time to buy worthwhile things like homes and vehicles.
Think of it this way, the dollar is gonna be worth a lot less very quickly. Gas prices will skyrocket as will food, but you can still come out ahead. Think of it as playing hot potato with the dollar. You want to trade your dollars for more worthwhile items as quickly as possible before they're worth fewer worthwhile items.

I like knowing how things work, seeing things about to happen is kind of a byproduct of that. It sounds rough having to sustain a household on your own, what kind of job do you have?

He discusses upcoming events with Alex Jones. According to him we're probably gonna see some terrorist attack that throws us into war by the end of 2010. I was personally holding out until 2012 for novelty's sake but the recent building and bursting of bubbles may cause it sooner. Thing is I can't really see America getting mobilized to yet another war, even if they stage another false flag attack. People have no money, they have no faith in their government, they have no jobs, how do they expect them to support a war?

Well being a high school student and all this just makes it harder for me to even get a part-time job. It's going to be living H*** for my chance at a college or even a art school. I should go into the Air Force intill this garbage blows over, IT MIGHT NOT!

Careful, homeland security targets veterans as possible terror threats.

When you are discharged from any of the armed forces you are put on a watchlist for being a potential terrorist. They know what those people can do and they are afraid.

Trying to help my country by joining the armed forces, to try to make the grap of the whole world finally go down the toilet. 2012 I turn 19 and I would love to help my country clean up the mess that EVERYONE has created. Not just the goverment but people not paying taxes, kids not willing to care about there school work, other countries wanting to blow us up, people using religion as a stupid reason for there crimes, having the big companies getting greedy and giving them selfs raises and chargen high prices on goods, having world leaders go on vacation 35 Times or so out of the year, having people paid with a bailout buying a $20,000 curtain set for there office using the bailout money, having my fellow classmates want to blow my friends up for being black, etc. The **** list goes on I have to live with this $#&@()* **** every day of my life it's scary and just ******* evil. All the things I listed hurt the world and overall economy in some way and I can't possibly tell you them all, I would have to write a small book. I kept it PG13.
Most goverment corparations target the soldiers that served less than 15 years because of gangmembers wanting to learn combat and tactics by enlisting in training, most don't even serve more than a year. I plan on serven to the age of 60 yrs old, the expiren date just like my father's which is coming up in 10 yrs.

2: Joining the military won't help anyone.

Gold hit $1174 today, that's a $63 increase in 2 weeks. Lemme put it this way, that's a 5.67%. In two weeks. The average savings account gives you 1.5%-2% a year. A good mutual fund will give you 5.67% in a year. This is absurd for a hard asset. Also, since foreign countries are buying vast quantities of gold it's looking like a good way of measuring the value of a given currency. To put it in perspective every dollar you own, in comparison to gold, is worth a nickel less than it was two weeks ago. If your savings had $5000 two weeks ago, it's now worth about $4,715. I'm unsure how other commodities are performing, but I hear oil is starting to look like a good investment.
