http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Jacques died four days ago, the writer of the Redwall series of books for "children" though they were wounderfully dark.
His books cemented my intrest in antrohmorpic writtens and such.
This sucks on so many levels

On the subject, any characters you remember ?
Me - Trisscar (female squirrel from Trisscar), Saxon (Badger from same)& Constance (Badger from Redwall).
As for villians Cluny the Rat (most evil bas##rd sea rat ever) and Asmodeus (serpent).

Somewhere we have the DvD's of Redwall, must watch them in tribute

Mostly the badgers: Orlando the Axe, Sunflash the Mace, Lord Brocktree, Bella, Constance, and Rowanoak.
Also The GUOSIM (Oi!! Seconded), the dibbens, the moles, Mask, Stormfin and Jess the Squirrel.

As for the villains, Cluny was far mah favourite, followed by Shadow, and then Tsarmina, with her insane blind wharf rat tracker.

The sparrow princess was called Warbeak, the hare was Basil (what what), can't think of the barn cat's name and the owl was Captain Snow

Trying to make a big knot at the ending of a leather pocket knife pouch with almost not enough string, so far I have stuck in the middle of completion with a paper clip, and another knot that just won't follow on through.

(The first knot I made to keep the pouch together did not hold out after years of use.)
