Lol win. I'd draw something, but I haven't been feeling it, plus I should be reading for my report on Stonewall Jackson...

Re: Artwork Thread
lol SD. Why did you choose disco for that? Or is there just a bird up there that he's imitating?
My favorite American Civil War general! He was kind of a nut though. Maybe that's what makes him so interesting to me; genius often shares a border with nuttiness. I've wondered whether Gettysburg would have been a Union victory at all if Jackson hadn't been shot accidentally by his own men at the battle of Chancellorsville.

Re: Artwork Thread
well... guess i should post some of my stuff.
this was the first half of my college project, we had to use two reference images of one animal, and one plant, so for the animal i chose a macaw because they're some of the coolest pets ever.
and for the plant i chose Kelp.
I'm taking classes in Graphical art, which mainly uses Adobe Illustrator -- which i think if far superior to photoshop, though i also use photoshop frequently as well.
speaking of photoshop, heres some experimenting in with it.
nothing really special, just playing around with different effects, also i wanted to test out a technique for making a class sphere.
this one, i was trying a planet tutorials, screwed it and and then decided to turn it into this for some reason.
this was a commission for some mandalorian role players that never got used, but i keep it around because i really like how the gold texture came out.
but my real passion is 3D art, though lately I've kinda fallen out of it do to laziness, but i still have some stuff to show.
this image was a submission into a contest, the theme was Sci-fi and Fantasy, which one 4th place surprisingly.
link because of size.

this, was one of my first characters I've ever created in a 3D program, sadly many of the files for this program became corrupted, this one included, so i was never able to finish him.
this was a compositing experiment with another early character.
for a Christmas present i got an Autodesk bundle, which came with 3DS Max, Maya, Softimage, Mudbox and Motion Builder.
these two were just results of playing around in 3DS Max.
and finally some results of playing around in Mudbox, which is quickly becoming one of my favorite programs of all.
my vary first ever sculpture in mud box... i call him mud man, for obvious reasons.
and lastly a couple alien heads i made just for the hell of it.
(links due to size)

the following one is some thing i finished just earlier today, i viewed some tutorials about the program and it showed me a few decent ways to get detail into your sculpture. i kept getting a ram error though for some reason, even with four gigs, which made it hard to finish it.

i don't have anything I've made in Maya or Softimage yet, mainly because I'm still learning how to use those programs.

Here's a few sig banners I made for another forum that I'm part of. They're all 400x150, and the first one is the banner that I took my avatar from.
And then of course there's this...
