Om nom nom!!! / Blergh!!!!(Favourite/Hated foods thread)

The idea of this thread sprang to mind from the small (friendly) debate on the Happy Things thread of what each person thinks of as good food. So to all Forumites, what foods and drinks do you like. Or dislike... I'll go first with a short list.

Likes: Scampi, Bacon, Red Puddin', Teriyaki Chicken, Noodles (preferably beef), COFFEEE!!!!!!!
Dislikes: Spicy stuff, alcohol, blueberries.

I stand by my Pancakes statement. As they are the best breakfast food as of right now.

Likes: Pizza, waffles, ketchup, pizza, spaghetti, bananas, fries, pizza, grapes, steak, Doritos, cinnamon-raisen toast, pizza, pizza, pizza, pizza pizza pizzapizzapizzapizzapizzapizzapizzapizza.... <@o@>

Dislikes: Pretty much everything else, although I'll list the big ones. Anything caffeinated (very very unhealthy for me), chocolate, chicken, fish, salad, cookies, cheesecake, most candy....

I could keep going, but you get the idea.

Well, I think I'll throw in my $.02

Likes: Seafood, pizza, steak, chicken, pasta, fries, popcorn, corn, potatoes, broccoli, fried okra, pancakes, waffles, sausage, bacon, ICE CREAM!!!, tea, coffee, soda (preferably of the Jones variety)

Dislikes: Lettuce, cabbage, raw onions, raw tomatoes...pretty much any raw vegetable, raw oysters...blarrrrgh!

Likes: Corn, Zucchini bread, Chinese, Mexican food, pizza, fruit in general, chicken, coffee, tea, and soda.

Dislikes: Raw onion, (Too spicy, okay though if it is not a dish alone.)and any raw meat.

hmm...

i like: gnocchi, shrimp, fettucini alfredo, Glazed Ham, Meatball Subs, chicken, and most Italian dishes. (especially gnocchi and fettucini alfredo)

i don't like: fruit, I'm not sure why, i just can't stand eating fruit, i like the taste but when ever i try eating it, it makes me feel sick and it becomes hard to keep it down.

I feel as though you failed to mention pizza enough. It is after all the king of foodz.

I like soft, chewy, or mushy things. If a food is crunchy or spicy, I'm less likely to enjoy it.

Yes: chocolate, lox, cherries, blueberries, corn beef hash, pudding, spinach, beef liver, mushroom marsala
No: chips, pretzels, celery, carrots

The Beaman's sausage and bacon sandwich is the pinnacle of cullinary excellence and I challenge any who disagree to a duel of honor!
(If you are unfortunate enough to not live within reasonable driving distance of the town of Bridgnorth, you have my sincerest condolences.)

As for dislikes, if I'm unfamiliar with it and it looks slightly unusual (and I'm not feeling adventurous) chances are I'll avoid out of sheer conservatism.

It's a carbonated nerve tonic... And it doesn't exist outside certain states of America. So I can't honestly say if I like it or not.

Hehe. Forgot it's a regional thing, however, you can buy it over the internet. It's good stuff, once you get past the aftertaste.

Likes: All kinds of things. Ranging from normal stuff like pizza, tacos, most italian noodle dishes, seafood, BACON AND SAUSAGE!and more, to stranger stuff like brussels sprouts with honey mustard or steamed artichokes. I'm big fan of comboing spicy and sweet, though usually not in the same dish. I love chasing spicy food with some cold soda just for the change in taste.

Dislikes: Tasteless things like squash or water, (I have to put flavor in it to drink it, thank god for Crystal Light Peach Iced Tea) and things with mushy consistencies like baked beans or wet bread, (I'll eat them only if I absolutely have to) and worst of all, things that are both mushy AND tasteless like cooked squash.

If you believe this, your taste buds are dead. I only drink water, and it is FAR from tasteless.

If you don't believe me, I invite you to compare water that's been in the sun with some ice water, or perhaps some tap water against filtered water, or even tap water versus bottled water. Hell, compare the different brands of bottled water. If you can't taste the difference between any of what I just named, your taste buds are dead. Water does indeed have a flavour, and it is an excellent flavour. Why you would contaminate it with tea or lemon or what-have-you is beyond me.

I think I've had cherry moxie in Washington DC before, I liked it.

Yes: steamed broccoli
No: Raw broccoli, even with dip

Likes: Lobster, Shrimp, Beef, Rice, Stir-Fry, Chicken, Steak, Great Winter Salad, Squid, And Sushi.

Dislikes: High Carb Foods, Fast Food, Hot Soups, And Insects.
