Re: Eve Online
Guys, I know it's very unlikely any of you will run into this guy but MissleWarrior destroyed my Covetor last night IN KINO (EMPIRE SPACE 0.7), without Concord attacking him. He is using some form of Exploit or hack to prevent Concord from responding to him, it cost me 27 million to replace my ship.
Just giving you a heads-up and to the PVPers amongst us, he flies a Raven armed with Wrath Fury Cruises, and has a salvager in one high slot, and can you launch a huge explosive enema up his tailpipe.
And I was NOT at war with him, he cheated.

Re: Eve Online
I've had BPO's vanish...
Bought them with another character and hauled them up to Decon, and sometime after accepting the contract and picking something up from another system POOF
Petition in the works, but I was wanting to make some rigs tonight...
Perfect end to a shitty day

CCP is investigating this guy and my loss has been passed on to the reimbursement department.
And I don't jetcan (I think the practise is dumb, lazy and dangerous), I take the extra time to go back to the station and drop off my full bay, before heading out again.
This guy's sec-rating was switching between -2.1 and -8. If you check his character, it comes up as a -8, but I was in Kino when my ship was popped and I have the kill rights to him, which you don't get if you were canjacked. I'll post the screenshot if needed to prove I have kill rights.
And my corp is at war with no-one, so it wasn't that either.

Re: Eve Online
CCP has decided that some form of foul play was at work and have returned my Covetor, 1 T1 stripper, 1 survey scanner, and 1 T2 Cargo Expander... and investigating the exploit/hack further as well as the player. Don't know if he got a huge boot from Concord (CCP) kicking his pirate exhaust plumes into a black hole (Don't know if he got banned), but I got my ship back and I'm happy about that.

Re: Eve Online
As pod pilots we have little to fear from the less forms of life that use conventional forms of piltoing. Hell we are almost immortal. But I hear tell of an ancient enemy known as CCP. They have the power to summon the lag monster at will and render a pilot in the deepest depth of space with little effort. Be good young pod pilots, for they will get you if you are not careful.
((Blackwolf, I have had this happen to me before, mostly due to the game putting things in places that I was not expecting. Like dropping items right into a ship bay then an item hanger. Good luck finding them))

Re: Eve Online
As for the BPO's they ended up in my Corporate Hanger (which I didn't even know I had)
So it's all good.
Now if a certain pilot would just pick up her fricking contracts, I could start testing out the Minmatat battleships....

Re: Eve Online
I'll edit this to her name, the laugh of it is I sold the Ice that was returned following her not picking it up.
got 40 million extra (+20 / contract)
Bought myself a Mega that I'm very happy with and as of Dominion finishing, I'll have my highsec carrier up and working to full potention
(Sentry and Logicistcal Drones ahoy)
As for chaos, that's my middle name >
(Tease being mayhem)

Re: Eve Online
Some thoughts on the new expansion.
- we now have Exploration & Advanced Combat trainers (sweet)
- Tweakable audio warnings for low shields, armour & hull (AWSOME)
- Ships and stations now look a lot cleaner
- Planets now look like active planets, not just a huge blob of pixils
- Missions now tell you if there is any ship size limits (about goddam time)
All in all, a well done patch, was playing it from 10pm onwards and a few hours this morning, no kicking's though launching/docking at stations and stargates was a little sticky, but that's due to me needed more memory I guess

Re: Eve Online
Just before patch, yah know the patch that changes all of the sov mechanics in the game? We (Majesta Empire) were humming along no problem when suddenly we got disbanded and lost all sov. So patch day turned into the "Ohh god we are on fire" scramble day instead of the smooth transition into Dominion. So I have not had a chance to look at the patch from a completely unbiased point of view. All i have noted is that "Wow eve looks really nice" and then was promtly being shot at by reds in my system.
Thank god that the Titans finay got the hit point boost they so desperately needed. Made no sence for a 70 billion isk ship to have about the same EHP as a 17 billion isk Mothership. And the new Doomsdays are absolute sex.

So apparently my alliance has mad respect from those we fight ona regular basis. Strange how the rest of the eve universe thinks we are pets to Morsus Mihi... which we have not been for a very long time.

Uhg so much chaos with the new sov system. A lot of the system upgrades are not working properly. And a lot of people that are just trying to make our lives difficult.

Good hunting.
Right now Atlas alliance has super naped (Non Aggression Packt) everyone and is invading the north. The people who we helped fight BoB are now invading us. Ungrateful sods. Its currently 21 major alliances on 7 major alliances.

Well, decided to give Eve Online a try, downloading the client, but that was outdated. I tried a patch, but now it won't work at all.

Re: Eve Online
What are your system stats. That is the most likely reason for the failure.
And considering that the client that you download is always the most up to date one avalible, I'm not sure what you did to require an immediate patch. There is a client build for the test server, but you should not be going after that. Also do you have a free 14 day trial?
