    Creativity Empty Creativity

Post by Teh Chay Tue Apr 07, 2009 10:26 am

I would think, with this board full of artists, role-players and other creative types that there are allot of pet projects that we all have on the go.

If you’re anything like me, and I hope for your sake your not, you might have trouble with the great demon of Laziness and his minions Apathy and Excessive Self Criticalism.

To combat this and bolster each others will to get these things done I invite you all to post ongoing details of such projects!

    Creativity Empty Teasealot's Projects

Post by Teasealot Tue Apr 07, 2009 5:30 pm

    Let's see... where to begin...

Designing 60+ Theriansapien races and 13 Near-Human species for Star Wars D20, along with their technology, ships, weapons and worlds.
Writing short stories about Star Wars using my own creations, and characters.
Writing short stories in general, using my own creations and characters.
Trying to dig through the mountain sized artist's block I gained from college.
Designing 8 Darksider races for Star Wars.
Redesigning my Devourer Fleet races for Star Wars.
Planning numerous campaigns for D&D (Pathfinder Rules), Furry Gear, Star Wars, WoD, Shadowrun, Battletech, Spycraft and Ironclaw.
    Building my own D&D world.
And oh yeah, designing stuff for a friend's Sith campaign.

Looks at the demon on her shoulder called Prok Rastanation, and sighs.

Just several short stories, one long story, couple of D&D campaigns, and the only thing holding me back is my addiction, microsoft created a monster with the Xbox.

    I color. It's fun.

Oh, and I'm writing a book. The story is actually planned all the way out, I've only got the first three chapters down though. I attribute this to myself, as I am the Lord of Chaos and Apathy. I cause everything to wildly spin out of control and for you to not care.

My roommate is the Demon of Entropy. He makes things fall apart with his mere presence. We work together. Well, he works, and I watch.

The chayat has many projects strewn liberaly around his desk and floor. Some are too NSFWish for this fourm but of the ones that are not:

Warhammer Vampire Counts army: Currently taking a break from painting VAST numbers of skellies and working on my sezzy general:
    http://www.redeck.com/users/chayat/VAMPIRE2.jpg

Warhammer 40k Wych Cult army/raiding party: Being a sneaky boy and converting warriors into wyches, becuase I'm not rich enough to afford all that metal. To assit me I've made moulds of mohawked eldar-heads which I can cast up in vast numbers. Although it does mean that the choice of hairstyle in the Wych Cult is somewhat limited...

    Sculpting a bust of a friend's RP charicter/fursona

Building a 1:2000 (40cm long) Cobra Destroyer from battlefleet gothic

Planning a Vampire the Requiem game for playing sometime in the future, possible online

and SUPER SECRET PROJECT ALPHA 1

Right now I'm working on a comic and I just inked the last page to the first chapter of it.

As for the written part it's about 26 chapters long right now and I think I'll hammer out a few more before saying the written section is done. I've been working on this for about three years now and I'm happy with where it's going.

Unfortunately I only have a twice a month update for it (first and last Friday of every month.) I'm hoping to make it a weekly thing soon. I might take a short break from the update after the first chapter is done to get a bigger buffer going for it.

*crosses fingers.* I really hope this doesn't flop and become something that never gets done.

    1300

The engine is in good shape and I dont intend on changing it in the forseeable future. Maybe when I'm rich I'll put somthing silly big in there. Currently it's getting a new heater channel and various lil spots of rust patched up.
    The brakes also need adjustment

    Urm...

Fitted a new wing so it needs a respray (the rest of the body is looking a little poor)

    Needs a new tyer

Needs windscreen washers looked at, as they dont.

    Needs a new front numberplate

And my parents are making me a funky new interior ^^

I'm going to assume that is 1300cc? You have a little less work to do that I do at the moment. Lets see what I have listed to do right now.

Finish rebuilding the 5.7L v8 Engine I'm putting in there.

    Finish removing the Body Frame

Sand and Powder Coat the chassis

Change all the rubber bushings on the suspension

Get a new sway bar installed

    Install a new exhaust system

    Repair the rear drum brakes

    Change the differential's grease

    Install the fuel tank

    Install a new transmission

Completely sand the entire body of rust and the old lead based paint

Cut off the few body parts that are rusted through and through

Weld on new metal to said parts

    Paint the entire Body

    Install a new interior

    Install the rebuilt engine

Run the wiring harness through the car

    Reattach the freshly painted body

    Refill the fluids

    And enjoy!

And I'm depressed cause I won't get to work on it for about a year in about 3 weeks.

    Sad

But I do have pictures if anyone is interested I'd be more than happy to show you guys its sorry state at this time.

The new engine is a 1994 Chevrolet 350 v8, the old one here was a 1966 Chevrolet 283 v8 so as you can plainly see the one I'm going to put in is slightly more powerful.

I'm currently working on... coloring... designing a few websites... um... two of which are for national TV shows, but I can't say which atm. Channel 230 on Satellite though. Airs third quarter. I work for a living. Go figure. I currently have a few car projects I'm working on. I have a 1979 1/2 Ranchero GT 500 (one with the special paint).
    Creativity Ranche10
    A 1987 Thunderbird I'm converting from a 3.8l to a 5.0l.
    Creativity Tbird010
I'm also putting a little here and there to build my 1989 Mustang Hatchback. It's all time consuming and involves a lot of wallet guts. Anyone interested in spare 302w parts or a short block, let me know. I run a little shop out of Shreveport for custom motors and transmissions. Blah... and who needs a day job... except for poor people like me to fund my hobbies... =(

It'll be very basic designs to start with, until I feel confident about getting more elaborate. I'll see how it goes.

wow, guys, I like the cars. really cool stuff. And I haven't DM'd in TOO long... had some good fun writing campaigns.
I used to do a lot more artsy stuff back in high school, but haven't pursued it much lately due to lack of free time/energy.

One in a while I'll get an itch to make pretty things, which results in random nose art and music videos.

Here's some links to the nose art:

saving <---she's a writer, thus the name
    space
    with<--- my crazy scientist/inventor friend
BB <---somewhat risque. you've been warned.
    code

The first three are friends of mine, followed by random pinup, (whose last name is cruz. ha! it's a pun!) and monique from sinfest.

if anyone's seen the new Battlestar Galactica, they'll recognize this. I was discussing Raptors with one of my friends and we decided that they were like the vans of the fleet, which prompted me to give one an epic paint job a la the rock and roll vans of the 70s. see? valkyries=epic. it could use a dragon and some lighting, though.

I haven't found a site that'll let me upload the MVs since they're set to songs that I don't own. If someone knows of such a site, I could post those, too. (also, how the heck do all those AMVs stay up on youtube? they violate the terms of use, don't they? scratch )

I believe it's something called the moderators don't care. Course one of the moderators could be a rampant AMV maker
