April 23, 2009 "What if she counted MAGIC sheep?"

Poor Inix, she didn't deserve that, but I suppose that Liz doesn't mean anything by it. She's just in a funk and is lashing out at anything that's convenient. I get the same way when I'm in a really bad mood.

Liz has an attitude! But seriously, I don't think that any of us will blame her.

When this happens to you, you do feel completely helpless and snappy, when anyone tries to talk to you with helpful suggestions, usually the first person after the initial shock has worn off, your common sense gets overridden and you barrage them with ridicule and scorn, in an attempt to make yourself feel large and in charge again. Which just annoys the friend, who was honestly just trying to help.
You usually realise this after a few hours, and you go back to feeling like a cookie in a blender (crummy), because you just, in a way, mugged your friend for daring to show care and compassion for you.

It would be a little twisted, but I half expect the next one to show up to be Rex. I'm a little surprised he didn't show up at the end of today's strip, the little voyeur. He might be a lech, but he's a non-threatening lech, and this might be his one chance to get an actual cuddle from someone. I guess he must be switched off or charging his batteries.

It seems clear that, despite her ability to suddenly appear inside closets and dresser drawers, no one takes Inix seriously. Well, maybe Sylver.

But with Rex you have to consider, unless Zig has already fixed his programing, he really wouldn't be looking for a cuddle from Liz. And for someone who can pop, at random, into your closet, Inix can be helpful to have as a friend.

I think the only reasons Sylver takes her seriously is because 1) She's a beautiful woman 2) She actually showed him up with her magic 3) She's capable of throwing him into his own trunk.

Always respect the woman who can throw you into a trunk

That is something that someday...someday I am going to do to a certain person as an act of revenge.

I think Liz needs a trip to someplace relaxing. Not sure where though.
