Indeed, quite an interesting twist. I just wonder if the mini-demons finished whatever they were doing or if they were interrupted. Seems like they scattered pretty fast.

Sheesh...performing a complicated, time-consuming ritual right out in the open like that. Of course they're going to be interrupted.

I'm having just a leetle bit of trouble swallowing this bit of story--a USB memory stick, that looks like a battery (bad idea IRL), being mistaken for an energy source, by demons who don't seem to really know what a battery is in the first place... Wink

But they've definitely dones something to it--10 hours to transfer 16 GB??!?

I wonder what happened to Zig in high school. And it seems he will need to upgrade his antivirus program...

This is what I thought. They downloaded demonic taint into his flash drive, and now I suspect he's loading rex's software onto it... One happy, horney, and adorable Rex versus an army of happy, horney, and homicidal Rexes.

Inix is gonna have conniptions. Or an aneurism. Maybe both. Sad

I've seen USB sticks that look like things you don't want to stick in your computer (including batteries, fingers, a hairbrush (usuable as a hairbrush too) and some I'm not saying due to the PG-13 limit), and the demons didn't actually say it was a battery, just they sensed that it was a storage device of some sort for a form of energy, which is what data basically is.

Have you seen how slow usb 1.1 was? It took me 1.5 hours to download 1.5 GB to my usb drive!

Anyway, I wonder what the magical powers will do to the Rex clones.

I have an old Mac iBook that only has USB 1.1. Yeah, it's painfully slow for things like backing up large hard disks, but IIRC, not quite that slow.

And the problem with a memory stick that looks like a battery (and that's not on a keychain or lanyard), is that if it ever gets left out, sooner or later soneone's going to think it's a dead battery...
