I don't think it's hard to kill someone on foot with the Laser, it's pretty much point, charge, and fire. The only time I have a problem is when they're right in front of my face.

Personally I think the Laser needs to be nerfed a bit.

From what I heard, it needs seriously fixed. 8 guys, not knowing where you are, manage to line up, you charge laser, fire. Suddenly the chat becomes alive with WTF!!!! from 10 people, two of which were your teammates who were trying to sneak up under active camo and you didn't see them until you fired. The guy behind the rock sighs in relief he had cover between him and you.

Personally sniping down Banshees with a Fuel Rod is a sweet thing.

I love the non sensical nature of most FPSes. As in the fallowing. My super lazer can burn through powered armor that has the same resistance to damage as capital ship hulls. Yet it is stopped short by a lowly tree that happens to be in the way.

Tossing c4 packs and the guard getting on his faceplate and freaking out was awsome
as was the ability to make your own paths

Also what about the orignal Deus Ex ? anyone played that?

Ugg...if I hear one more rabid Bungie fan boy whining about me having a certain armor that you can't get normally I'm going to rip their face off and shove it down their throat.

Oh yeah, good point....

I've one shot kill Hunters with my shotgun. It has to be very close range (as in miss and you kiss hunter shield), and in the face (must be central mass shot, or you kiss hunter shield)... What!!! It's not like I've tried buttstroking a Hunter... Okay, Okay, I have. takes a good 3-4 smacks in the head to drop one, so it's safer to buckshot its face into its head.

My favorite was the rail gun. Shoot through walls and clear the level without even having to get into a dual. That being said some of the multi player maps were fun to just hurrle rockets up into the air randomly and watch them rain down on you enemies.

Yes i have played Deus Ex. Yet another game that was far to ahead of its time for the level of technology that was avalible. Wish they would make a worthy sequel to that game.

Random survey time again! Most badass VG character in your opinion - and if at all possible, why?

I'll start it off:
Kratos- God of War
This BAMF has gone through hell and back, literally. Wielding the dual Blades of Chaos bound by chains to his arms, he slays cyclops, gorgons, chimera, undead armies, and braves all kinds of treacherous terrain just to get revenge on the gods for using him as a tool. He leads a revolt against Mt. Olympus and allies himself with the Titans to bring down Zeus and the others. The Ghost of Sparta certainly some recognition for his kick-assness.

I got Super Smash Bros. Melee.

I know it is not new, but hey, it's new to me.

JC Denton - Orignal Deus Ex, a geneticaly enginered anti terroist agent with nanowear augmentations.

Most badass female game character: Samus Aran. You never know what she's capable of.

Most badass male game character: Dante from Devil May Cry. He'll cleave you in half with his sword, riddle what's left of you with bullets from his hand guns, and pull it off with a nonchalant attitude. Kratos got nothing on that.

I vote for Snake. A 60 year old kicking an entire armies ass and then strolling through a room full of microwaves. Lets see Dante or Kratos pull that of when they're greybeards.

Wow, too bad Dante can't completly cleave people in half on Viewtiful Joe...(PS2 version...)
