It's things like this that make me wonder about the mental health of the average person.

I mean, I already know and accept that people are stupid (some more than others, of course), but do I need to start thinking that people are insane as well?

Black people be all "you be mean!"

White people be all "lol sit down"

... is slightly racist humor okay here?

The westboro baptist church, a small kansas "church" that has a history of protesting at the funerals of soldiers, spewing hateful anti-evrything dogma, are now planning to stage some sort of picket at the funerals of a federal judge and nine year old girl that were killed in an Arizona shooting last Saturday, and on the corner the shooting took place.

This group makes money by staging these protests, then sueing when the grieving family members try to drive them away so they can mourn in peace.

This pisses me off, of course, but I am also saddened by the fact that someone, anyone, would dare to desicrate the dead in this disgusting and hateful manner, and then attempt to profit by it.

But with every cloud, there is a silver lining. To protect the mourning family, community members are working on creating a wall of 10 foot wide angel wings, worn by concerned citizens, to physically prevent the church from getting close. There are also murmurings that Hells Angels will show up.

And in related news, "Arizona legislators quickly approved emergency legislation Tuesday to head off picketing by a Topeka, Kan., church near the funeral service for a 9-year-old girl who was killed during Saturday's shooting in Tucson."

Granted they're still going to protest (for whatever stupid reason), but at least the church and the cemetery where the service will be held will be protester free.

Dependin' on the chapter (some chapters are scum), The Hells Angels are among the most respectful, helpful and compassionate groups out there. They're also the type of group that Westboro don't really want to start problems with. And most of them will work with local authorities.

Bull sharks are one of the greatest opportunists of the shark world. Coupled with their unique (among sharks) adaptation to fresh water, ANY water deep enough to allow them to hunt could have a small colony of them swimmin' around. Murky water isn't a deterrent to them either, they actually seem to prefer it as they are exceptional ambush predators. The only thing they don't really like is exceptionally cold waters, so there is a chance that any deep river in most mainlands could have a resident Bull shark. I know they've been reported halfways up the Mississippi river for instance...

I believe there are a fair amount of cameras aboard most Naval ships, it'll be recorded, we just need to bribe someone to send us a copy.
