Well that was not at all what I expected for Rex's return. I find this page to be hilarious and disturbing all at the same time.

Is Rex gay or female?
We don't know yet, but I LOL'd.

Rex is male. That was established a while ago with his overly invasive and perverted actions toward the female characters in the comic, plus they refer to Rex as a he.

Well, he has no "parts", so I'm guessing Rex's gender is defined solely by Rex's actions. So he could now be female.
Or just gay.

He is a toy. Maybe he's universal?

I love Liz's reaction in that last panel...I'm curious if she's going to instigate more big gun hunting.
What game were they playing on the tabletop, was that monsteracolypse or warhammer? O.o

It is most likely "GeneriTableTopTacticsGame" so Liz won't need to worry about GW getting their panties in a knot when she hopefully gets around to publishing book collections of the comic.

He wasn't the right sort of gay.

Seeing how they've gotten quite evil in the last few years I think they might well give it a go anyway.

Although funny, that was uncalled for.
Also, I think that this could be a... valuable learning experience for Sylver.
I wonder how Sylver is doing with his little escapade with Sunny.

I'm going with gay because it was obvious that he was male when his character was introduced and he's still being referred to as "he" or "him." In this most recent comic, Sid even says "It was cuter when he did it to you."

Re: Good as new? 03/02/09
That could be just because everybody is used to Rex being male. For example, do you call a guy who's been through a sex-change operation a he just because that's what he used to be? Yes! But only at first, right before you get used to it.
Purely hypothetical though. I do think he's turned gay. Playing devil's advocate, you know.

So he's a gay robot, not that there's anything wrong with that.
Look to your left. Now look to your right. One of these two people you just saw...is a gay robot. Learn the facts, people!

Looked to my left: Saw a lamp.
Looked to my right: Saw a door.
Since the door isn't really technology, are you saying my lamp is gay?!

Yeah, wouldn't that just make it.... female?
Great, now the lamp is staring at me cause he knows I'm talking about him.

Not only would that make it female, that would make the lamp and the bulb separate entities and the bulb would be male, but straight. Sooo...I really don't see how homosexuality would be anywhere in this lamp scenario...
