Re: Color a comic!
Great job. Infinitely better than me, as I cannot shade properly to save my life. And even if I managed to do it, I doubt my scanner would show the efforts.

Actually done by DLing the GIF and then playing with it in GIMP (because I am too poor to afford PS).

Re: Color a comic!
I admire those that have the patience to color things without a tablet. I tried coloring exactly one comic with GIMP and eventually got so frustrated with it that I gave up. And then colored it by hand like I always do.

Patience? Heh.
What you see took me roughly 40 minutes, most of which was consumed by muttered vulgarities and many, MANY clicks of control+z. And I'm only about half-done -- less. I really dread doing the shadows for her tail :'(

I know your pain. I use MSPaint to colour stuff, (One of the above comics is my attempt), and I don't have a tablet either.
And the "thing" behind Liz's arm is the bottommost of Liz's hair scales. And her scale green would work for the lower eyebrow.

(looks) We're talking about the thing to the right of the bucket, right?

Just above her paw, and the bucket she's holding but below the level of her shoulder? The thing like a small sickle blade? That's one of her hair scales.
If you're talking about the white bar just above her left arm (depends on who's point of view you're talking about, the audience's or the character's) that's the bottom strap for Liz's Bikini top.

Re: Color a comic!
Continuing with the project:
(see finished image)
EDIT: As done as I'm going to be
PIC UPDATED D:<
While it isn't QUITE to Liz's style, I took some liberties with fading the shadows a bit...
I seem to recall that Idea Guy is a penguin, so that's why his feet are orangeish...
EDITED EDIT :
Something was bugging me about one of the shadows. That, and I had to add some to Idea Guy. THIS should be the last one, though
So, is it... (dare I say it) infested with terrible? Remember, you won't hurt my feelings -- no art experience whatsoever.

Re: Color a comic!
I saw this topic, and I thought, what a nifty idea! It'd be good practice. I had some free time today, so this is what I've got done so far:
I'll finish it when I have more time... which will be in two months, likely. =P
Side note: This is one of my favorite strips! Which is why I chose to color it.

Re: Color a comic!
Nope, Photoshop CS3 and a really, really, really, REALLY old and crappy tablet. I bought it for like 100 bucks almost a decade ago. Hopefully in a few more weeks I can afford to buy one... that coloring took me several hours because the response time an accuracy of the pen is so bad.
I never know how to color Liz's hair. It's just like... one super mega chunk!

>_<;
People who use Photoshop and make it look like markers makes me really jealous. Sometimes I think I don't even know how the damn program really works.

Haha possibly! I've been playing around with Photoshop for over a decade, it's a matter of practice, really... and in my case, finding the time to practice.

Re: Color a comic!
God that is probably my favorite BPD comic so far. I know I have done that, I know a lot of freinds who have done that.
By the way, great job.
