Yes, it's the 14 day trial.

I ended up with version 6.14.101786, which I was told needed patch 101786-120813-mac (my computer is a Mac).

It's not a big thing. Was mostly curious about it.

Okay you need to look at what you computer has for hardware and make sure its up to what eve requires. EVE is a rather needy game for resorces. And to be perfectly honest does not look the best on macs. But it is more then playable. If you do manage to get in game please drop Balor Haliquin (thats me) a line. Be forwarned im a major alliance diplomat and fleet commander, so you might get the "WHO ARE YOU! WHAT YOU WANT FOOL?"

It did say my Mac was a bit underpowered, that gameplay may be a little slow at times. It didn't say "does not meet minimum requirements," but it could be close enough.

Though for some reason EvE keeps starting in a window'd mode, even after I apply the full screen setting

IT Alliance (formaly known as Band of Brothers and later KenZoku) are in the middle of attacking Fountain (A region of space held by Pandemic Legion and Sons of Tangara) There was a massive fight about 2-3 hours ago. no less then 25 titans in total were involved. It looks like as of now Pandemic Legion has lost 5 Titans, and about 60 Dreadnoughts. That is the most Super-Capital ships ever lost in one battle. Beating the old record of 3 during the "Max Campaign" when BoB attacked Morsus Mihi. At that battle, Morsus Mihi managed to kill 1 Titan and 2 Motherships.

Now I'm not a fan of either alliance, but have to give props were they are due.

Working in 0.5 is fun.

Huh what? Ohh hey, you seem to be moving out of the safety zone. Just remember that pirates are really good at suicide ganking because it takes concord a couple of seconds to get there.

Man, I've been bouncing between WoW and Eve for months now. finally settled on Eve (for now...maybe).

Honestly, I've always had a liking for it, though I'm just now starting to seriousely plan what skills I'm going to be training x_X

Not wanting a fight, but why does everyone who has played a MMORPG for more than five minutes insist on claiming to be the expert on the game. One person's skill fit may be completely wrong for others, and ship fits are just as personal.
I know I'm not an expert on EvE, I'm still learning things and finding things out through trial and error, I find that much more fun than someone telling me the best skills and the best equipment to get. It's my character, I can do what I want to it, when I want, and how I want.
I know I'll never go PvP, I had enough of small kids with daddy's credit card trying to smash my stuff, and kill me for fun in WoW, but unlike WoW, in EvE, if some little jerk smashes you and your equipment, your equipment STAYS smashed, and there's precious few in that game that will replace the stuff for you, EVEN in Corporations and Alliances.
I also KNOW I am no expert in EvE. In WoW, (which I played since the Beta, and gave up a year before WotLK), I also knew I was no expert in the game, even after having played EVERY RACE, AND CLASS COMBINATION available. What I did learn was, play with what you're comfortable with (Draenei, Gnomes, Night Elves and My Human Paladin for Alliance, and Tauren, Blood Elves and the occassional orc and troll for Horde).
EvE is the same, Play with what you're comfortable with (Though refining, mining and industry helps cut down on the overall longterm isk costs of playing).

I was simply offering help. that is all. And he can always say no thank you. I offered the same to you and you said no, so I let it so. I didn't mean to sound like an expert. There are simply too many jobs in eve, even after 3 years I have no concept of this thing called research and industry.

As for working 0.5, I'm working on getting some Amarr Naval Ships, plus it's a nice change from running Security to do Astrosurveying

I got into a massive fleet fight today. About 600 people in local and about 40 Titans on the field. We needed up losing quite a bit of capital ships but from all reports we have taken down a titan. That would make it my first titan kill. Was a blast, but at this point I'm so poor i cant afford to replace any ships i have lost during this massive war.

Sorry about yesterday, I was desperate for a EvE fix after night shifts and wanted to test out my Slasher ratting. You caught me as I was docking in EvE before falling asleep.

As for the Slashers performance, I rate it next to the Caracal missile cruiser, it's a good ship but you need to have decent skills in it. The weak LADAR sensors suck, but fit a missile launcher and a pair of 200mm AC's and she's quite tasty :3
I took on 4 pirate griffions and despite being jammed, got all 4 of them

So aparently Northern Coalition has pissed off everyone in all of the eve universe... or the enemies of the NC have just decided to get everyone together to raid the north... either way, i'm going to be in constant battle for the next year it seems.

Wow the southern coalition are assholes. they are going after anyone that is not blue to them and chasing them out of null sec. I really don't like expansionist egomaniacs like that.
