The only thing to worry about with Ice Harvesting is the odd group of pirates showing up.
It's boring and slow (I'm currently using a Retriever, but skilling for a Mackinaw - the ice mining GOD. not a Hulk though I don't need one)
    BUT
If you have contacts and work out a deal, you can make a MINT
I've got a deal with someone to provide them with a amount of ice per week (I've told them at the minute I'll give them per month but am skill training towards a weekly load) and I'll be getting 73K per unit.

Jesus man don't stop with that deal. Hell if you get good enough you can open market the ice for a good price. And especialy if you start refining it for strontium clathrates.

Well as of now I'm on 60 units, But I'm currently working on Mining Upgrades 4, followed by Ice Harvesting 5
So in (hopefully) a week I'll be using t2 Harvesters with a fairly low cycle time.
Then it's a case of getting the Mackie.
But still it's boring as hell and Fur channels being quiet.....

The Fur channel has drama in it as of right now. Which kinda pisses me off. But you really have to poke people in there to get any reaction. A great guy to hang around with is Nykitah (Squirrel). He is always in character and like to just have fun. I'm generally there but you really have to yell at me because I'm usually buisy with alliance crap. Nakayma is kinda hard to deal with, she is a deamon kitsune that hates other foxes and kitsune. Node Crash and Alessia CSA are good people to hang around with and chat with. But basicly you need to be a bit more pro active with them.

Thanks for the info Keyou-bi, had a good chat going until some drama kicked in.
Oh I did some crunching and have changed my mind about a Mackie, If Tease was still able to join me it would be worth it but for the solo harvester
    I don't think it is.

The channel name is 'eve furs'. If you need an invite poke me when I'm on.

The way to do mining is to get one person in a tech 2 miner ship and the other in an Orca with Mining Warfare Links. A friend of mine runs a 20 man mining corp. He strips 3 systems a day of all the resorces they have.

I've got a planned Covter which will fit the requirements of what I need it to do quite nicely.
I know the Exhumers are the best, but for what I do, I feel it's unnessary.
You missed some good chat this morning by the way Smile
