Re: Eve Online
I have been doomsdayed about 15 times now. Some times I have been hit by 2 or 3 at once.

Re: Eve Online
First time was "wrong place wrong time" the others were a direct result of someone going "All right boys, GET 'EM!" and thus Doomsdays were used, to more often then not, absolute fail effect.

Re: Eve Online
Yah know, funny enough I have been hit by them a lot but so far I have survived them all. Honestly it is pretty awesome to see a doomsday charge up and people scrambling every which way trying to get out of there. Then there is a large, often bright, flash and all of the sudden there are a lot more pods and a lot less ships on the field. The best guys to have that done by is Solar Fleet/Solar Wing. They have basically prevented a major fleet engagement by Doomsdaying their own fleet and thus making them combat ineffective. Only once have I seen them use a doomsday effectively. And it came down to the allied commander (our commander) not seizing the moment for a quick and deadly Titan kill. But ohh well. I could go on and on with stories of null sec. But I think that would bore people.

Re: Eve Online
Thus far my only low sec experiance was trying to get a special item from a low sec station, got gate camped by a Drake, Mega and at least 2 other ships. Lost a Bager that I'd had from day 1 and then the ####### podded me.....

Re: Eve Online
I hate, with every fiber in my being, low sec. Too many god damn rules about what you can shoot and where. Null sec is great because there are very few rules and a lot of great stuff floating around. I really do feel bad for anyone who views PvP through the warped glasses of low sec. That being said I know PvP is not for everyone.

I take it you mean High (Empire) sec space ?
Right now I'm getting annoyed waiting for my client to collect the ice I spent long hours getting.
It's been 5 days so far....

I don't think the client has been on for a few days, hence not picking up the contract.
Can't really complain about that can I ?

Rummors of a new Tech 2 ship class based on battleships coming out in the winter. Here is to hoping that they are my designs.

Re: Eve Online
Oh boy oh boy oh boy, another t2 battleship hull with a pile of prereqs and bonus that are of no use to missionrunners and wont be used for PVP because no-one can insure t2...
If it was a new t3 ship, then YAY, but t2 has as much as it needs.
A t2 destroyer for salvaging would be nice though.

Re: Eve Online
They have already confirmed that there are going to be Tech 3 Battleships. But in all honestly i have seen the Tech 2 battleships used quite a lot in PvP. The problem is that the Black-Ops battleships should never bee seen on the front lines and the Marauders are really for missioning. So a Marauder in PvP is often the first to be targeted and killed because everyone goes "ohh I want a Marauder kill".

Re: Eve Online
Yes.
They are going to small, medium, and large, so that you can rig frigates and not have the rig cost more then the ship... but i rig my T2 ships anyway no matter the size.

You will be pleased to know there is no need to download a new client for the full version. You just upgrade your account and use the same client.
**For if/when you get a full account.
