Movies Or Scenes Liked Or Generally Loved Empty Re: Movies Or Scenes Liked Or Generally Loved

On Monday I watched Mega Piranha. MEGA PIRANHA. MEGA PIRANHA!!!!! Epicness ensued. This is a movie that looks at good filmmaking, tells it to screw off, and is just awesome instead. This is a no-budget movie that constantly reuses the same shots over and over and has no sense of continuity. This is a movie that has never heard of good acting or decent special effects. But most importantly, THIS IS A MOVIE SO HYSTERICALLY AWESOME THAT NONE OF THOSE GLARING FLAWS MATTER. The protagonist bicycle kicks giant mutant killer fish in the face REPEATEDLY. Then he shoots a flare into a guy's mouth, and the guy's head EXPLODES. And there are scenes where elephant-sized piranha jump out of the water, committing crazy kamikaze attacks by slamming into buildings AND MAKING THEM EXPLODE LIKE THAT ONE DUDE'S HEAD. If I was grading it as a serious movie, it'd be, like, a 1/10. But grading it on AWESOMENESS (which I am), it's a 9.5/10, easily.

I don't HATE Evil Dead 2, but I think it's far inferior to the first one.

The original Evil Dead was not intentionally meant to be funny, Evil Dead II was. Which did diminish the overall effect for the humour, but the film still worked well.
It can be said that Evil Dead II was the film that actually laid the ground rules for the Evil Dead Universe, while Evil Dead introduced us to it.

I watched Session 9 for the first time. I was stunned on how it ended . I not going to spoil anything. It is a horror film but if you like horror films like I do It's a rental.
