You can guess what happens next.
I believe there was also a movie on the subject.

Save Mothership Zeta for last if you can. Out of all of them that one is the most difficult.
Call of Duty has turned into quite the whore these days...SD wrote:http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/113/1133245p1.html -Rumor: Call of Duty Heading to Outer Space
...Because...you know...it was only a matter of time before they had to start actually copying Halo.

They seem to be just pumping them out left and right. I mean, Modern Warfare came out in 2007 and World at War MW2 came out within pretty quick succession. Now with the release of Black Ops and this upcoming one in production it seems that they're just trying to lessen the gap between each game. Now, in theory, that doesn't sound that bad...but it gets to a point when they're just oversaturating the series. I know it has a huge fanbase and the games get really good ratings but how long before they squeeze the well dry? "Lets see how many wars we can cover and frontiers we can rip off before we start losing our touch!" Ugh. Even Medal of Honor, which is where I started my FPS genre, is jumping on the bandwagon. But I digress...I could go on a long rant about how these corporations are just trying to milk their franchises for every penny but what's the point? C'est la vie. By the way, I heard the next CoD was geared for Vietnam... I hadn't heard of the futuristic spin. We shall see where this goes.

Anyone who's surprised or disappointed probably doesn't know about Valve's habits when it comes to release dates. Still, Valve time is such an annoyance.

Does this happen often with Valve?

How about frequently? Or Eventually? or Inevitably?
