As with any position of power. Because it has been shown that to be president its not about how many people voted for you its how many of them you paid off.

That pretty much goes for ANY politician. Not just the president. ...and not just in America.

Ah ah ah, you only need to pay off the intelligent people. And I think we all know what percentage of the population actually qualifies as intelligent, no matter whose eye's you look through. People are dumb and usually vote on name recognition or party affiliation.

Or looks. Back in the '96 election, my school had a mock vote for Clinton and Bush. I voted for clinton, being all of six and having no idea about politics, simply because he looked better.

Oo! I remember doing that! Except for the Bush/Gore election. I remember pissing off my teacher because I refused to vote for either of them, and instead wrote in Nader on our fake ballot sheets. Not that I wanted him to win, I was just miffed that those were my only two choices when there were other options. Ah, the olden days...

So has McCain. Don't even get me started on Palin. Every politician has.

And back to the socks, or clothing in general.

I prefer long socks, though I do wear my fair share of tights too, probably due to my preferred footwear, Boots of knee length or higher. As for general clothing, I go for comfort over flash, and dress for the weather. If it's cold, I'll be a little ball of woolens in boots, if it's warm... I'll be in skirts, and t-shirts... and boots, if it's wet, waterproofs... and boots... is anyone else seeing a pattern in my dresscode?
Oh, and none of my boots have high heels. Gods, how I hate heels!!!!! Had to wear them to a wedding of a friend, and left with Duke Nukem's attitude towards... well anyone not him. It felt so good to get back into my bitchboots.
And I agree with Pandora about men having a lot of the nicer stuff, especially T-shirts, though I have got a few nice ones of my own. Favourites include "Look Up Pervert, before I kill you.", "Yes, I have breasts. Stop staring.", and "While you're reading my chest, my boyfriend is stealing your wallet/sneaking up behind you with a chair."

Sorry Grey, but the last time I posted photos of me (in a personal e-mail to a friend), they ended up on a pornsite in Amsterdam... how they ended up on that site (I sued, they were removed), or how my friend Terry, who swears on a stack of bibles that he doesn't look at THAT type of site online, found them is beyond me. Ever since, I've been really wary about posting personal stuff like photos of my anatomy.
Also no digicamera, no mobile phone and no scanner.

*shudders* Gods that sucks @ss...This is why I am very wary of posting pics of myself online. I only do it if I'm really comfortable with the people I'm talking to on a forum or something. I avoid big forums that have like, 500+ members. It's too big and there isn't enough control. Places like this, though less active, are better because you can get to know who's there.

Love the shirts though. I have a couple like that myself. One of them says "Stop staring they don't talk." I saw one today that I wanted that had two kittens on it whispering to each other that says "Let's kill something!"

To fair though women get better sexy clothes than guys do.

Also I basically wear what is clean at the moment. Basically its just jeans and t-shirt. And if I'm working outside or going into town I'll wear either my combat boots (Which are freaking comfortable as heck) or Raggedly old tennis shoes.

combat boots are the $hit, my favorite outfit (that i only wear once a year) is a heavy metal tee, tripp pants, and a pair of combat boots; usually you would see me in a simple tee, jeans, and skater shoes (I do not skateboard they just feel good.)

Well, only if they're black with white lettering. 99% of my shirts fit that description (I have 1 white shirt). I love sarcastic shirts. Maybe a picture of just the shirts? *is still curious*

Jeans, black t-shirt, necklace. That's what you'll see me wear day in and day out. Other clothes are not guaranteed, but those three are.

I'm kinda like that with shirts. Only mine need a little bit somewhere on them that says "I wear this interesting shirt as a conversation hook, as I'm far too shy to start one"
