    Rules/Instructions:

I wake up in my bedroom. For some reason, I'm standing up, fully dressed. Not sure how I got like that. Anyways! There is a sliding glass door to the WEST, a bathroom to the EAST, and the door to the living room to the NORTH. There is a desk here, which has a laptop sitting on it. There is also a mattress on the floor, covered with blankets and pillows. On the walls hang many pictures and shelves, which are all filled with books. There are a few heavy sticks propped up in a corner that could be used as weapons. My bag for classes is laying on the floor.

I brush aside the drapes and look outside. Hey, it's my patio! Right where I left it! Good stuff. I'm glad I live on the second story of my apartment complex; no one can steal my things. I can see my bike, which I've also left on the patio. Outside, it appears to be morning. It's a little gray outside, it must be overcast with clouds. I can also see my car, which has also remain un-stolen. Hurrah!

My cat, sensing that I'm awake, has come into the room and is meowing at me for breakfast.

I walk EAST into the bathroom area, followed by my cat, who is still insisting on being fed. I am greeted by a clone of myself! Wait, no, that's just the mirror, nevermind.

I am standing in front of my sink, on which there is a hairbrush, toothbrush, toothpaste, and a razor for shaving. There's a medicine cabinet set in the wall above the sink next to the mirror, currently shut. Under the sink is some closed cabinets.

To the NORTH is the toilet and shower. To the SOUTH is a closet. To the WEST is my bedroom.

Why did I come in here? Do I need to pee? Or what? My mind is tortured by existential questions as I ponder my next move.

Ah, I remember now! I was going to brush the cat. He's being noisy, certainly, he must want to be brushed. Unfortunately, I don't have a cat brush nearby. My hairbrush? No, of course not! I wouldn't want to get his fur germs in my hair germs! Who knows what sort of shenanigans would come from that. Aha! The toothbrush!

I pick up my toothbrush and kneel down to my cat. I begin brushing his fur carefully with the toothbrush, making his fur all sleek and shiny. Sure, he tries to bite the bristles a few times, but I can tell he likes it by the way he's purring. After a few minutes, I stand back up triumphantly above my cat.

He meows at me for breakfast.

Having successfully brushed my cat successfully with a toothbrush, I decide that I should take a quick peek inside my closet. Opening the door, I encounter a small room. After careful deliberation, I conclude: there's a lot of clothes in here. Neatly folded on the floor are my jeans and shirts, next to my laundry hamper. Also on the floor is my roommate's dirty laundry, because, for whatever reason, he's decided that the clean clothes do not go on the hangers or in the space I provided for him, but in his laundry hamper.

This may have something to do with how he never folds his laundry.

Speaking of, I don't think he's in today. Oh well. There doesn't appear to be anything else of interest in the closet. Behind me, the cat meows for breakfast.

Decisively, I head north towards the living room!

    Ow.

Oh yeah, door. Have to do the door thing first. Ow...

I rub my forehead a little where I bonked myself as I open up the door. Man, that stung a little. Wait, are those bristles? Oh, I accidentally just gave my head a brushing with the toothbrush, still in one hand. The cat zooms past my legs into the living, meowing excitedly as I finally make my way towards the kitchen. I stand at the threshold to my living room, to the NORTH, and my bedroom lies behind me to the SOUTH.

I decide that my pocket deserves a good brushing too, sticking my toothbrush into my left pocket. Hey, now all I need to do is encounter someone else, and I can make a "Is there a toothbrush in my pants, or am I just happy to see you?" joke! Feels good too, those fur-filled bristles against my skin through the pocket lining, mmm...

The cat meows at me for lunch, jolting me out of my momentary distraction.

A few steps, and I've reached my destination! I stand in my living room, drinking in the atmosphere.

Wait, that's not atmosphere, that's the smell of my roommate's dirty clothes. Sigh...

My bedroom is to the SOUTH, the kitchen is to the EAST, and the front door to the apartment is to the NORTH-EAST. The living room is mostly dominated by the table, which is clean, at the moment. There is an ugly but comfortable red couch, which my roommate sleeps upon, situated across the room from the TV, which is mostly there for decoration, seeing as it's not plugged in or hooked up. To the west is my roommate's computer and computer desk, which is next to the litter box for the cat. The walls are decorated with tapestries of different colors and of pictures of creatures out of fantasy. There's a lot more objects, but I'd have to take a closer look to know what they all are.

The cat meows at me from the kitchen, urging me forward.

Ooo, the cat is getting excited now. He's whisking between my legs as I walk, meowing over and over as I enter the kitchen. Awww, look, he's standing up on his hind legs and stretching up at me! He's a cute one-AHGAWDPOINTYPOINTPOINTY!

After taking some claws out of my leg, I take stock and look around at my kitchen. I must have cleaned recently, it's fairly nice and there aren't any dishes in the sink. Why can't I remember?

The front door is to the NORTH, and the living room is back towards the WEST. On one side of the small kitchen, there is a refrigerator/freezer combo and a stove with some counter space in-between. I see that I keep the cat food on top of the fridge. Above are the shelves where I keep my food. On the other side is the sink and microwave, above which are the shelves where I keep my dishes. On the floor against the wall is a mat that has the cat's water, food dish, and a bowl for dry cat food. There is an unplugged waffle iron here.

I lean over to pick up the food dish and dry cat food bowl, one in each hand. I can see that the food dish is empty, as the cat continually reminds me, and that the dry food bowl is still moderately full of dry food.

I take a moment to ponder how no one, not even cats, seem to want what we already have when there's something juicier in the future.

Especially when it smells like fish.

I carefully balance the dry food bowl onto the food dish and marvel at my sense of balance and perfection. I am so preoccupied with this undertaking that I do not notice my cat, who has jumped up onto the counter, until he has nuzzled my hand with the bowls, knocking the dry food off. I attempt to be a ninja and catch it before it hits the ground, but I only succeed in knocking it hard with my hand, sending dry cat food all over the kitchen floor.
