Duke Nukem Forever actually sounds kind of awesome from what I've heard. Healthwise, you have an "Ego system" where you regain health by tipping strippers, flipping tables, breaking windows, and other acts of over-the-top manliness.

Why am I thinkin' Halo meets G.I. Joe meets Bubblegum Crisis when I watch those trailers? The armoured suit screams Delta 9 Acceleration Suit from Rise of Cobra, and the enemies remind me of Half-Covenant Boomers, K-11s and Genkis...

A very visually pleasing game. But can it play well? It looks WAY too busy most of the time.

Edit: Yeah just played the demo and if that's any indication this is going to be a pretty looking game but lacking gameplay. All of the quick time events are completely random and if you don't use the cover system you can't survive for three seconds. For a game that looks like it's all about high adrenalin fast pace action it really plays slowly.

Personally I wouldn't mind to much if corporate companies are prevented from selling used games, so long as an individuals can sell games on E-bay to make some money.

It's actually a pretty decent way to meet people and enjoy some events depending on where you live. I would actually love to go to a midnight release. Except I have work tomorrow in the morning and decided to be responsible.

...so I've been playing the hell out of Mass Effect 2. I got frustrated with the mechanics of the first one, but I'm loving the 2nd so much I might just go back and play through the first, so I can actually have decisions carry over that I WANT. Seriously, almost every single thing that's affected by major decisions from ME1, I would have done differently.

Out of curiosity, what's the defaults in Mass Effect 2 if you haven't played Mass Effect 1 at all?

ME2 defaults whited out to save those who might not want spoilers


* You helped the human fleet and let the council die
* You kill Wrex
* The military guy who helps you through the first game (forget his name) is NOT picked for the council, it's the other politician
* You had no romantic interest
* You killed the Rachni queen instead of setting her free
* You saved Kaiden & let Ashley die (not sure if this is just a female Shepard thing


Those are the major stuff I noticed. Apparently "hundreds" of decisions from ME1 carried over to ME2, those are just the big obvious ones I know.

The last one is the opposite way around if you play Male Shepherd.
Other changes are linked to Feros, several of the little side missions, your original background (especially the spacer background), Liara, Tali and Garrus.

And Liz, what did you use to complete ME2? I played as a Vanguard. And have you downloaded the extra content? A lot of it is REALLY nice.
