Re: Happy things!
My mom called me up earlier and told me that she got a bank statement in the mail that said her house is completely paid off. What's awesome is the fact that she would've still been paying it off for another 25 years and the fact that we have no idea who did this. Someone made a deposit of $70,000+ and she checked at the bank and it's totally legit. I was just awestruck...
I don't care what you people say, or how you come up with things to try to contradict me: miracles DO exist. One happened today.

Re: Happy things!
I had the MOST AWESOME DAY EVER with Dante at horror-con.
I went dressed as Cassie Hack from Hack/Slash. I met someone who knows the guy who writes that comic. She took a picture of me and sent it to him. He thought I was cool.
We also shot the shit with Tony Todd (Candyman, Night of the Living Dead), Crispin Freeman (Hellsing...Yeah that's right, we chatted with Alucard) Bill Mosley (The Devil's Rejects, Repo!, etc. *he was Chop Top, Otis, and Luigi Largo) Ray Park (Snake Eyes in G.I. Joe, Toad in X-Men and Darth Maul) *he's got a British accent*. Dante got to have a pleasant conversation with someone who acted in Eraserhead, which was directed by David Lynch, his favorite, and she was a really sweet old lady.
The coolest person there though, was the guy who played Leatherface. That man was friggin' amazing. He was not only wearing a kilt, but passed by and chatted it up with us all day. (He thinks I'm hot. Haha, Leatherface was hitting on me.) He also had a bit of an impromptu stage combat with Dante. After meeting a man as cool as that, it would have been an insult to not go watch his movie at the screening later, which we did. It was pretty surreal sitting there, watching Texas Chainsaw Massacre, seeing Leatherface come out, swinging a chainsaw and killing people, and thinking, "Damn...we just talked to that guy. ...He's cool."
We also entered a costume contest. Didn't win, didn't expect to, but we had fun anyway. (Dante was dressed as Kanaeda from Akria.) One of the guys there was dressed as Ash Williams from Army of Darkness. That was honestly the best Ash costume I've ever seen. He did win a prize for it.
There were some people there dressed up as Bill, a zombie, and a Hunter from Left 4 Dead. We hung out with them a lot. They were pretty cool. Had a lot of energy. XD
Altogether, an absolutely amazing day. I can't think of anyone else I could have shared that great of an experience with other than Dante. <3 I don't think there could possibly be a better match for me than him anywhere in the world.
