I bought Dead Space on Friday, beat it two days later on Sunday, and I still play it. Like Mass Effect, it was a surprisingly good game. I started playing it, not expecting much (bought it for $20 on Steam, so what could go wrong Razz), and I loved it. Normally it takes me a good week or so to beat a game of this length, but there were parts on the weekend when I'm like "Ok, save point. I'm going to save, and go to bed.... WELL, I'll check out a little further." "Ok, new save point, gotta save and go to bed.... OK, I'll check out a little further." I couldn't put it down. Couldn't go to bed ;_;. I lost sleep because your game was so dang good. I'm readying a lawsuit right now.

EA having problems with lawsuits? Heaven forbid!!
But in all seriousness, I know exactly what you mean- I've spent many a night falling into the clutches of the "just a little farther..." syndrome. Why must games be so good?! T^T

Heh, All EA needs to do is not rush games out with darn near impossible deadlines, and you wont have games as riddled with bugs as Dragon Age

I think you're confusing EA with Activision, case in point Modern Warfare 2.

On the point of the COD series, who else is looking foreward to zombies in black ops?
I know I really liked nazi zombies.
Maybe it's Viet Cong zombies now?

No, I meant EA. Games like Dragon Age, and to a much lesser extent Mass Effect and Command and Conquer: Generals had their fair share of bugs in them. Dead Space didn't really have any, except for the GLARING V-Sync bug.

When I first played Dead Space, I noticed my controls were kinda delayed. Not as bad as with Battlezone 2 (Which WAS an Activision game Very Happy. By the way, if anyone knows how to fix the horrendous control lag in Battlezone 2, I'd be very happy to know how. Razz), but it was still pretty disconcerting. I did some research on the subject, and found that V-Sync had some problems, one of which being the control lag. I turned it off, and not only did I not have any control lag whatsoever, my game also picked up about 20-30 FPS too. Maximum detail (aside from V-Sync being off) and rockin 60 FPS. I was in heaven Very Happy.

BTW, yall probably have, but if you haven't played Dead Space, try it out first on a copy someone else owns. I can see it being the kind of game that you'll either really really love, or really really hate. Me, I really really loved it Very Happy.

same here. borrowed it from a friend and beat it, then played it again, bought my own copy and played it twice more.
and for the limited edition version of dead space 2 you also get dead space extraction that was originally only for the Wii. but only on the PS3 version(Probably the only good thing about a PS3 besides the blueray)

Speaking of zombies...I have to beat dead rising...I want the second one, but I need to beat the first one first. I should start over, though, because I have no good weapons...

Blizzard files lawsuit against Starcraft II cheaters.- http://www.gamepro.com/article/news/216959/blizzard-files-lawsuit-against-starcraft-2-wings-of-liberty-cheaters/

I'm not going to lie, this is the first time I've heard of this. Usually they just ban the hackers and cheaters and leave it at that. Guess Blizzard is trying to tell something to the would be hackers.

About frickin' time! The "Ban the cheater/hacker" response is one of the main reasons the EU WoW servers are such a mess. Hacker/Cheater gets caught, gets banned, goes out and buys a new copy of WoW (which you can find in game stores for about a fiver), opens new account, starts again this time a bit more subtly. Repeat.

    Server attack disrupts Minecraft- http://www.gamepro.com/article/news/217009/indie-hit-minecraft-the-target-of-server-attack/

So since the guy doesn't update enough you DDoS his server which houses the information needed for the game? Yeah that makes sense...oh wait, no it doesn't.

Pretty cool. A bit overly flashy in the electronic departments. Hope they can clean it up a bit so it doesn't look so rough.

Decided to play James Bond: Nightfire after years of no use. I used to play this game 4 or 5 years ago, only I failed at the stealth missions, and died more.

Kinda easy though compared to Half-Life.
